Stroud was formed in 2001 by a group of partners with the shared commitment to transforming the approach to operational improvement. Our two founding offices are in Boston, Massachusetts and London, United Kingdom. The newest office was opened in 2011 to meet a growing need in the energy sector and is located in Calgary, Alberta.
We work in a wide range of businesses in both the public and private sectors. When Stroud was founded, our core work was in the manufacturing and chemical sectors including paper and packaging, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, fibers, coatings, and oil. We maintain a strong and growing client base in these sectors and in recent years have expanded our scope to include defense services, infrastructure, and healthcare. Our approach has broad application and we continue to develop our offering into new and exciting areas of business.
We primarily develop our own talent, recruiting at MIT, Cornell University, University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, and Queen’s University. Over time, many Stroudies move on to other ventures. Part of what makes Stroud unique is not only professional development that allows current Stroudies and alumni to do amazing things, but also the close relationships and network to which they always have access.
